Privacy

What we collect

Account details — name, email, county, the devices you list when joining the waitlist or taking the Energy Score.
Device API access tokens — once you enrol, the minimum scopes needed to operate (start/stop, charge level, schedule) for the device APIs you choose to connect.
Anonymous analytics (only with your consent) — page views, country, broad device class. Never your IP. Never your bills.
Consent record — timestamp + choice when you accept or decline cookies, kept for audit.

What we do not collect

Your in-home smart-meter half-hour history.
Your supplier bills.
Your location history beyond country (from your IP at consent time only).
Anything from social platforms.

Where the data lives

All operational and personal data is stored in EU regions (Cloudflare D1, Frankfurt). No data leaves the EU. We do not use any US-based subprocessors for personal data.

How long we keep it

Account + device data: for as long as you're enrolled, plus 30 days after you delete your account.
Energy Score submissions: 12 months from submission unless you ask for earlier deletion.
Cookie consent records: 24 months (audit requirement).
Anonymous analytics: 14 months max.

Your rights

Under GDPR you can request: a copy of every piece of data we hold on you, correction of anything inaccurate, deletion of your account and data, and a stop on any processing. We action all requests within 30 days, usually inside a few business days. Email privacy@drivinggreen.com.

Cookies

One essential cookie (a session ID, no personal data) so the site works. With your consent, one anonymous analytics cookie (no IP, no fingerprinting). You can change your choice anytime by clearing browser cookies and reloading the page — the consent banner will reappear.
